Hendon Properties announces the grand opening of Texas-based Conn’s HomePlus in Golden East Crossing in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. The 45,000-square-foot store features a variety of name-brand items in product categories consisting of consumer electronics, furniture, mattress sets, home appliances and home office equipment.
Hendon Properties recently acquired Village Park at Brookhaven a 20,677 SF, mixed use commercial development in the affluent Brookhaven submarket of Atlanta, Georgia.
Hendon Properties closed on the fully leased Class A retail property on February 3, 2017 and intends to manage both the leasing and management functions for the center.
Village Park at Brookhaven is uniquely positioned along the historic Dresden Drive corridor, an area admired for its pedestrian friendly access, well landscaped streets, outdoor dining patios, mix of boutique shops, collection of contemporary office space, and close proximity to the Brookhaven-Oglethorpe University MARTA train station.

Hendon Properties announces the Grand Opening of the new Kroger Marketplace in a ribbon cutting ceremony today at Dawson Marketplace, a 468,047 sq. ft. ground-up retail on 53 acres in North Georgia. In addition to an extensive prepared and organic food selection, this new Kroger concept will offer clothing and shoes, back-to-school items and housewares. Joining this state-of-the-art 123,000 sq. ft. Kroger will be Hobby Lobby, Marshalls, Ross Dress for Less, and Petco plus shops and restaurants. Kroger has also built its own 9-pump fuel station on the property.
Dawson Marketplace is adjacent to the North Georgia Premium Outlets, which averages 7.5M annual visitors (15,000 per day). Surrounding area retailers include Walmart Supercenter, The Home Depot, and Ingles.

Atlanta, Georgia – Hendon Properties, in conjunction with Harbert United States Real Estate Fund V, L.P. (“HUSREF V”) recently acquired Westport Village, a 168,781 square foot, lifestyle shopping center in the Louisville trade area.
Hendon Properties and HUSREF V closed on the Class A retail property on May 17th and intend to invest additional funds for the upgrading and leasing of the vacant space. Westport Village is uniquely positioned to attract strong local and boutique retail brands that embody the Style, Flavor, and Spirit of Louisville. With a fundamental recovery and improving demand in the retail real estate market, the joint venture plans to stabilize the property by leasing nearly 45,000 square feet of available space. The acquisition is the second joint venture between Hendon Properties and the HUSRE Investment Team, which seeks well-located properties with value-add upside through focused operational management.

Texas-based Conn’s HomePlus, an electronics, furniture, mattress and appliance store chain, will become a new tenant at Hendon Properties’ Golden East Crossing Mall in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Steve Spiegel, development partner at Hendon, said Conn’s HomePlus will occupy 44,000 square feet of space. Construction for the store started at the end of March and Conn’s is slated to open mid-August. Click for more details.
